Really lovely post, Hannah, I enjoyed it. Some simultaneously gorgeous and incisive phrases in there. As you know, I agree with your sentiment, deeply - especially the quote I restacked - that AI may help us speed our creative journey up, but it also may circumvent the very thing that makes it transcendent.
"It may sound like I’m taking all this a little too personally, but I’m a songwriter who is engaged, at this very moment, in the process of songwriting. It’s a blood and guts business, here at my desk, that requires something of me to initiate the new and fresh idea. It requires my humanness. What that new idea is, I don’t know, but it is out there somewhere, searching for me. In time, we will find each other."
Beautiful post. I'm curious if you don't use AI at all for your creativity. As a non-native english speaker and writer I find it a helpful assistant to double check the meaning of words and sometimes find a more nuanced way of saying what I want to say. My rule is: first, write from deep within you, then use the assistant.
Thank you Carlota! I have used Chat GPT to find references for academic work. Somewhere along the line, somewhere I'm not aware of, AI will be part of my process - I use digital platforms like Canva and whatnot to create graphics. No doubt AI is baked into that. But I don't actively use it to generate new ideas or represent concepts through AI-generated images. I think your rule is a sound one!
Ai is a tool, we could use it to hear politicians say the right words of a popular meme, not the ambiguous words to always win the bipolar argument.
I saw a blue and red, talk excitedly for a future together in the same house.
Just remember, party politics divided governance that didn’t need division, only citizens full time agreement of family values and care.

Exactly! Thanks for sharing, Hannah.
Thanks very much DA! Look forward to more of your writings on this as the chaos unfolds.
